Mylène Viggers is a French artist based in Singapore specializing in plein air (outdoor) oil painting.
Whether adventuring deep into the jungle with her easel, paints, and brushes, working in her garden, or at a local park or beach, she loves to observe the optimism and joy of the nature that surrounds her and to capture the scenes and colors on her canvas. With bold and instinctive brush strokes, applying deliciously thick oil paint, her paintings communicate a sense of the abundance and exuberance of the tropical plants and trees that grow profusely around her. She lets her imagination burst out through the use of a palette of bright colors.
Mylène moved with her family from Paris to Singapore in 2019. She lives in a black-and-white bungalow next to the jungle and is surrounded by lush greenery which is a huge source of inspiration for her. She has filled the white walls of her home with her work, all the better to bring the life force of nature into her interior.
Mylène is also now traveling more broadly in Asia, taking her painting kit wherever she goes and encapsulating those souvenirs on canvas.
