Minimalist Splendor: How Spiritualism and A Reverence For Nature Shaped Japanese Design As We Know It
February 10, 2022
From biophilic architecture to minimalist interiors, ensuring that design is attuned to nature has become commonplace...
The and-on Lamp is mesmerizing as it invites you in to admire the nuanced texture of the Washi paper. A traditional hand-made Japanese paper made of natural raw materials, Washi dates back to the 1300s and is an integral part of Japan’s cultural heritage. This special lamp is a concept project created in collaboration with designer Kenji Fukushima and paper specialist Tesuki Washi Tanino. It combines innovative lighting technology with the beauty of a traditional craft.
