‘Pisang Goreng’ is Malay for fried banana.
"Over the years, that I’ve been living here in Singapore, I’ve gone on a few road trips into Malaysia. One of the fun things that we like to do is to pull over on the roadside at one of the Pisang Goreng stands for a quick snack. While these kinds of pop-up stands are not as common in Singapore, this is still a well known dessert here," shares the artist.
This artwork captures fun and quirky everyday scenes. The menu is photographed from a signboard at a food court. On it, you see the many ways that Pratas can be served – egg prata, cheese prata, and, of course, banana prata.
The Shophouse in this case is not a residential one but rather represents a famous eating spot found in the artist's neighborhood.
This canvas print is a digital reproduction of an original artwork by Deborah McKellar.

Care Instruction | Canvas prints have been coated for scratch, stain, and water resistance. Due to numerous reports of framed prints hung using adhesive-backed hooks / strips falling off the wall, we strongly suggest using more secure hanging methods (like nails) or opting for unframed prints. |
