The Fruitful Pomegranate Ru Porcelain Tea Set, a symbol for the auspicious fruit from the royal family, is inspired by the collection of the Palace Museum - the Pomegranate Bottle with white glaze and hidden pattern from the Yongzheng era.
The designer, Chen Tao, distilled the form from the original bottle using the natural round shape of the pomegranate fruit at maturity. The pomegranate represents happiness and wealth in oriental culture. In the Chinese language, the word "pomegranate" also translates to "stay", making it the fruit of long-term friendship.
