Louise Hill is a playful graphic designer and artist with a passion for her work. Her love for Asia shines through in her highly detailed, colorful and vibrant prints, a culmination of a previous career as a high-end packaging designer for Crabtree & Evelyn and Fortnum & Mason in London and design professor at RMIT in Melbourne for over 15 years.
Before settling in Singapore where she is currently based, she had spent many years traveling and working in different parts of Asia, including Hong Kong and Shanghai. You will find her either working at her computer or drawing board or walking down the streets with her camera on the lookout for vintage props and imagery.
She creates her syncretic artworks using a combination of graphic design, illustration, and photography skills and uses all of her own imagery. She then digitally combines all of these images into a highly detailed multi- layered finished artwork on the computer - which in turn is then printed onto canvas or etching paper.
Her signed, limited-edition prints are hand-finished with metallic accents. Her ambition is to become Liberty of London for fashion and stationary prints.
