  1. SAICHO
SAICHO Hong Kong, China | Food + Beverages
Charlie and Natalie – originally from Hong Kong – have always had a passion for food and drink. Now, husband and wife, they met while completing their PhDs in Food Science in the UK.

SAICHO uses single-origin tea, hand picking the exact varietal, time of harvest, location, terroir, altitude, and processing methods. Rather than being bombarded by a mongrel of flavors, there’s a simplicity and purity to using single-origin tea. Brewed in the United Kingdom, SAICHO’s signature sparkling tea flavors include Kyoto Hojicha, Himalayan Darjeeling, Fujian Jasmine, and Dan Cong Oolong tea.

Each individual single-origin tea is cold brewed for 24 hours, to extract the most delicate and complex flavors. The teas are then finely balanced by a hint of sweetness and a dash of acidity. As a finishing touch, sparkling the drink enhances the flavor of the tea.

  3. SarnSard
    SarnSard Thailand | Art

SarnSard is a multidisciplinary design studio established by two designers – Visrut Taweevorasuwan (Ped) and Manatsanun Taweevorasuwan (Kookai), who shared a love for Thai crafts and Pa-nan pandanus. While researching and studying the arts, they discovered 'Dok Chan' (asterisk), a traditional pattern. This historic pattern is neat in detail and is less popular due to the longer times required to complete each part. For this very reason, it was chosen as the signature pattern of SarnSard to encourage local craftsmen to preserve this Southern design heritage.

Closely collaborating with Pa-Nan Pandanus artisans in a small Muslim village of Trang province, SarnSard works hard with the sole mission to preserve the traditional Southern craft while at the same sustaining the villagers' livelihood. It blends local craft with design innovation, by exploring precious local wisdom – the know-how, techniques, and material properties to create new product designs from wickerwork, and at the same time inject contemporary design relevant to an urban lifestyle.
