  1. Kade Chan
    Kade Chan Hong Kong, China | Lighting

    Kade Chan, the Founding Chairman of Hong Kong Origami Academy, is a professional origami artist and product/ graphic designer. Born in 1993, he started folding paper at the age of 12. He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Design with a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Product Design. Today, Kade Chan has more than 300 original origami designs and over 16 years of experience in origami teaching. He has also organized more than 500 public events and collaborated with luxury brands such as Ferragamo, Lamborghini, and Bottega Veneta.

    Kade Chan has received a great deal of recognition for his designs and has been the recipient of many international origami awards and honors. Most notably, in 2012, he received the Éric Joisel Award from Origami Canada. In 2013, he became the first Chinese to receive the Yoshino Issei Fund from the Japan Origami Academic Society, one of the most prestigious awards in the origami community. In 2019, Kade Chan was invited by the TEDx Victoria Harbour to be a guest speaker and to share his love for origami art with the world. The same year, he collaborated with the Hong Kong Jockey Club and achieved a new Guinness World Record together for the largest origami lesson. In 2020, Kade Chan was named one of Hong Kong’s Ten Most Outstanding Young Persons.

  2. Kam Ce Kam

    Founded in 2019, Kam Ce Kam is a furniture and interiors brand born from a passion for innovative design conceived through traditional methods of manufacturing.

    From the material to the making, the story is one of passion and integrity, coupled with a genuine desire to revive the heritage of Indian craft; in a considered, conscious, and contemporary manner.

    The furniture and accessories are all inspired by a component of traditional craft whilst telling the story of the maker and the materials used. Beginning with the skilled history behind the artisan, the designs incorporate age-old techniques such as cane weaving and stone carving. It continues onto the materials where timber, stone, leather and cane are organically fused with seat pads filled with coir and table-tops created from marble offcuts.

    A conscious drive to utilize natural and sustainably sourced materials to create the furniture and accessories, lies at the heart of Kam Ce Kam’s production. Visually, the designs respond to pieces seen in the colonial era, adapted to suit today’s contemporary lifestyle. It is a perfect medley of the cultures of India and Britain, being brought to life in the 21st century.

    Kaneko Kohyo was founded in 1921, when founder Ito Kohyo chose the site for the original kilns at the top of a small mountain near Toki City, Gifu Prefecture – the center of production for traditional Mino Ware ceramics.

    Based on ancient techniques and local know-how, Kaneko Kohyo strives to preserve gastronomic history and traditions that hark back to the much-admired local Mino-yaki pottery style.

    Originally Japan's largest producer of tokkuri sake serving bottles, Kaneko Kohyo now strives to create new designs that meet and exceed the senses and needs of discerning consumers seeking originality, beauty, and functionality for their dining and entertaining pleasure.

    Kaneko Kohyo has expanded greatly across Japan and internationally, being selected for use by Japan and Europe's finest chefs and luxury brands.

    KANJIAN Mainland China | Home Decor

    KANJIAN is a social enterprise promoting contemporary design inspired by the wisdom of traditional Chinese crafts. Founded in 2013 by renowned music artist Dadawa Zhu, KANJIAN brings together prominent designers in China and from abroad to work closely with local artisans to realize exemplary products with new possibilities, by interpreting traditional Chinese materials and techniques with modern aesthetics. "Celebrate Quality" is the founding motto of KANJIAN.

    As a singer, artist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, Dadawa has been at the forefront of promoting Chinese cultural heritage for the past twenty years. Through KANJIAN, meaning 'to see', she continuously expands the horizon of design while staying true to China's heritage of craftsmanship.

    In 2015, KANJIAN launched the 'Life' product line, which injects creative design into the practicality of everyday life, advocating the idea of 'made by the people for the people'.

    Keat Ong graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honors) from the Curtin University of Technology (Australia) and was invited into the Golden Key Honor Society for his achievement as one of the country’s top scorers. He is the current president of Society of Interior Designers, Singapore (SIDS), and the Founder of Nota Design Group as well as Keat Ong Design, which specialize in interior design and architectural design consultation. He is also the Lead Design Consultant of a listed company in China, Hunan Huakai Creative.

    As a multi-awards winning designer, Keat has been named one of Asia’s Top Designers in Singapore Design Awards 2014 and as Designers of the Year 2016/2017 from the famed INTERIOR DESIGN Magazine. Due to his contributions and influence in the Asian design industry, Keat was awarded “The Influencer Award” at Maison Shanghai twice in 2017 and 2018. He was also subsequently honored with the title of “The Most Influential Designer” by China’s national body for Interior design, China Building Decoration Association in the 2017 3rd Circlerider Award. Keat is also no stranger to media exposure as he has appeared in more than 7 local and international magazine covers so far. Keat is also the first foreigner in China to become the Lifetime Honorary President for two of China’s provincial level industry bodies, namely the Yunnan Interior Design Industry Association in 2014 as well as the Shandong Interior Design Industry Association in 2019.

    Some of his notable projects include Changsha Museum (24,000 sqm), Changsha Library (31,300 sqm), Dong Ting Lake Exhibition Centre (40,000 sqm), Longping Rice Museum (18,000 sqm), Lion’s Den Hotel in Pingjiang, and a number of important product experience centers. Keat has also ventured into digital art as well as product and furniture design since 2010.

    Born in Taiwan, raised in the US, and now hailing Shanghai as home, Bill Yen is an award-winning architect who has run MRT Design Studio for over 10 years. kin Objects is a project of passion that started in 2019 with wife Miranda, drawing its inspiration from their multi-faceted identities as first-generation immigrants. Rooted in the ancient traditions of incense burning, and re-interpreted with a distinctly minimal aesthetic, kin Objects seeks to re-invent the rich heritage of Chinese incense burning for a modern, global audience.

    Founded by designer Teerapoj Teeropas, Kitt.Ta.Khon explores craft techniques from across the globe through its handwoven furniture pieces and interior finishing.

    Like any other cultural elements, the survival of craftsmanship depends on knowledge and skill transfer, from a generation to the next, and from a community to another. Kitt.Ta.Khon not only strives to be a leading design brand, it also has a mission to create new values for handicraft and to transfer crafting knowledge and skills to the new generation through contemporary products. Teeropas believes that craftsmanship is beyond boundaries and there is a universal language between each craft community.

    Through pattern research and historical reference studies, Teeropas pays tribute to different cultures such as Thai, African, Chinese, Moroccan and many more. Color play is another signature of the brand, blending ethnic aesthetic with refined and pared back modern sensibilities.   8. Kumari Nahappan
    Kumari Nahappan Singapore | Art

    Kumari Nahappan is a prominent artist in Southeast Asia. Her practice encompasses interdisciplinary genres, painting, sculpture, and installations. She has forged a reputation for effectively reconciling the language of “international contemporary art” with her own vocabulary and developing a visual identity that is decisively shaped by her cultural roots and beliefs.

    Kumari is celebrated for her iconic sculptures inspired by local flora in landmark locations in Singapore including Saga for Changi Airport, Nutmeg & Mace for the ION Orchard, Pedas-Pedas for the National Museum, and Pembungaan for OUE Bayfront (the largest bronze mural in Singapore at over 45m) and other sculptures for corporate developments. Her sculptures have graced sites overseas including G Tower in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the J.Y. Campos Centre in Manila (the Philippines), and Zongshan Park in Shanghai (China).

    Kumari has received commendations in the Philip Morris ASEAN Art Awards and UOB Painting of the Year. She holds the honor of being the first foreigner and woman to be conferred the Ksatria Seni Award (2004) by the Museum Rudana in Bali. In 2011, she won the Artist of the Year Award in the 15th edition of the Shanghai Art Fair and was identified as a notable female artist in the book Women Artists in Singapore (2011).

    For more than two decades, Kumari’s artistic journey has seen her develop an extensive body of works, including paintings, sculptures, and installations which have been exhibited in Asia, Europe, and the United States, for example at the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Seoul Art Centre in Korea, Museum Rudana in Bali, Museum der Kulturen in Basel, and Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam.

Precious food ingredients such as Italian white truffles, green caviar from the Pacific, and blood oranges from France are blended to serve a discerning clientele who seek the finer things in life.

    The brand offers more than all of the goodness found in naturally sourced ingredients and their effects. They only sell freshly produced skincare, dated no longer than 30 days from production. Each product is made in-house at their boutique in Seoul by the hands of highly skilled blending masters to ensure perfection in every bottle.
