A singing bowl is a type of bell that vibrates and produces a rich, deep tone when played. These are said to promote relaxation and offer powerful healing properties.
The Himalayan Tiger Antique Singing Bowl is made by hand by artisans in Nepal using 7 types of metals.
To use a singing bowl yourself, firmly press the accompanying mallet in a circular motion against the bowl's outside edge or rim. When you hear a bright, clear tone, you can slow down the motion. Use your full arm to make the motion, rather than just rotating your wrist. Additionally, you can gently strike the bowl before beginning the circular motion.
Surface irregularities are an inherent part of the design. They contribute to the uniqueness of the vessel.
The small bowls come with 2 rings or donut cushions as well as the striker, while the bigger bowls are accompanied with 1 ring or donut cushion, a felt strike, and a suede mallet striker.
