Michell Lie was born and raised in Hong Kong and educated in the USA. While pursuing a career in advertising and branding agencies, Michell taught herself ink brush painting on weekends. Her goal is to make art affordable, charitable, and enjoyable, by selling her art to raise funds for Hong Kong's senior citizens and by creating awareness about the importance of pursuing passion projects. Michell's art and purpose is connecting the dots, bringing people together, and creating social impact through modern ink art.

Michell's works combine thick, broad Chinese ink brushstrokes, fine ink pen, water-color, and acrylic. Her pieces course with a fluid, dynamic, expressive energy. Michell's artistry combines Eastern and Western media and forms, and conveys gentleness within power.
