The base image that Analogue was built upon is from a 2020 physical work called 'Implode'. In making Analogue, the artist wanted to bring the original image up to date - dispelling and conquering its failures and mistakes, giving new life to old things, and to make a more coherent and cogent artwork.
Dimensions:Digital cityscapes are Nicholas Choong’s conduit for expression. They are both a passion project and an experiment that arose from the copious amounts of digital files which the artist personally shot and edited over the past 5 years. The result of this experiment is a unique, one of a kind signature visual that marries the digital and physical worlds. These are products of love and careful attention, crafted over many sittings in front of the computer. While the mediums and context differ throughout time, the quest for beauty and honest expression remains.
