In Amorphous Nocturne, the catalyst and the first piece for this series of digital works, the artist combined 2 separate works, compositionally. He discovered this composition by chance one day in the studio in 2021 when both paintings were hung on the painting wall, waiting to dry.
The print blends architectural elements from many different paintings he made in the past, while retaining a raw, intimate, and vulnerable monochromatic language, staying true to its original form.

Digital cityscapes are Nicholas Choong’s conduit for expression. They are both a passion project and an experiment that arose from the copious amounts of digital files which the artist personally shot and edited over the past 5 years. The result of this experiment is a unique, one of a kind signature visual that marries the digital and physical worlds. These are products of love and careful attention, crafted over many sittings in front of the computer. While the mediums and context differ throughout time, the quest for beauty and honest expression remains.
